ALF's Brian Tanner, Benji Gregory, Passes Away at 46

Fans of the beloved 80s sitcom ALF are mourning the loss of Benji Gregory, the actor who played Brian Tanner, the youngest member of the Tanner family. Gregory passed away unexpectedly at the age of 46 on June 13th, 2023.

Fondly remembered for his role alongside ALF (Alien Life Form), Gregory appeared in all 101 episodes of the show's four-season run from 1986 to 1990.

The cause of death is pending official confirmation, but reports suggest it may be heatstroke. Gregory was found deceased in his car in Arizona, where temperatures can soar well above 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months.

His sister, Rebecca Pfaffinger, shared the news on social media, stating that Gregory had been struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, and a sleep disorder.           


Despite the challenges he faced, Gregory's work on ALF brought joy to millions of viewers worldwide. He will be remembered for his portrayal of Brian, a character who embodied the innocence and wonder of childhood during ALF's chaotic integration into the Tanner household.
